DMCA & Copyright Policy

At Cook Echo, we value the rights of content creators and expect our users to do the same. In compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Title 17, United States Code, Section 512(c), copyright owners or their authorized representatives may submit valid takedown requests to our designated DMCA Agent.

As an online service provider, we adhere to the DMCA’s “safe harbor” provisions, which limit our liability for copyright infringement claims when we comply with applicable laws.

Submitting a Copyright Infringement Notice

If you believe your copyrighted material has been used on our website without authorization, please include the following in your written notice:

  1. Signature – A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized representative.
  2. Description of Copyrighted Work – A clear description of the copyrighted material that you claim has been infringed.
  3. Location of Infringing Material – The exact URL(s) of the allegedly infringing content.
  4. Contact Information – Your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address (fax optional).
  5. Good Faith Statement – A statement confirming that you believe the use of the material is unauthorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. Accuracy Statement – A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

⚠️ Important: Submitting knowingly false claims may result in penalties under Title 17 USC §512(f), including damages and attorney fees.

📩 Submission: Notices should be sent via our Contact Page, with email preferred for faster processing.

By submitting a notice, you acknowledge that your information, including contact details, may be shared with the alleged infringer.

Counter Notification

If your content has been removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe it was taken down in error, you may submit a counter notice that includes:

  • Signature – Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Description – Identification of the removed content and its original location.
  • Good Faith Statement – A statement under penalty of perjury that the removal or disabling was due to mistake or misidentification.
  • Contact Information – Your name, address, and phone number.
  • Jurisdiction Statement – Consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district (or, if outside the U.S., any district where the service provider operates) and agreement to accept service from the party who filed the original DMCA claim.

📩 Submission: Counter notifications should also be submitted through our Contact Page, with email recommended.

Repeat Infringer Policy

We take copyright violations seriously. We maintain records of infringement notices and take reasonable steps to identify repeat offenders. Accounts of repeat infringers may be permanently terminated.
