Description

Baked Stuffed Shells are a comforting and delicious dish perfect for any occasion. This recipe features large jumbo pasta shells filled with a creamy mixture of ricotta, mozzarella, and fresh spinach, all generously topped with marinara sauce.

  • 20 large jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen spinach (thawed and drained if frozen)
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • Garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, 1 cup of mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, spinach, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in a baking dish. Stuff each shell with the cheese mixture and place them seam-side up in the dish.
  5. Pour remaining marinara sauce over stuffed shells and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly.
  7. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
