- 1/2 cup cornmeal (optional)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (to adjust consistency)
Instructions
- Make the ranch dressing by whisking together mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, and parsley. Adjust consistency with milk; refrigerate.
- In one bowl, combine flour, cornmeal (if using), garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk.
- Dip mushroom slices in egg mixture then coat with the flour mixture. Let rest for 5 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry mushrooms in batches until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
- Serve immediately with ranch dressing.
