  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1–2 minutes).
  3. Stir in the cream and lemon juice, mixing well.
  4. Add cooked linguini to the skillet and gradually incorporate reserved pasta water until desired sauce consistency is reached.
  5. Fold in smoked salmon and capers gently until warmed through.
  6. Adjust salt to taste; garnish with parsley if desired and serve hot.
