Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 slider buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (or 16 small squares)
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Sliced tomatoes (optional)
  • Pickle chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into slider-sized pieces (2-3 inches square).
  2. Set up three shallow dishes: combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in the first; add beaten eggs in the second; place panko breadcrumbs in the third.
  3. Dredge each chicken piece in flour mixture, dip in eggs, then coat with panko.
  4. Allow breaded chicken to rest for 10–15 minutes.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Fry chicken for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
  7. Drain on a wire rack lined with paper towels.
  8. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to make the sauce.
  9. Assemble the sliders by spreading sauce on buns and adding fried chicken along with any desired toppings.
