Instructions

  2. In a stand mixer, beat the egg whites on medium-low until foamy. Add cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add superfine sugar, mixing until stiff peaks form and the mixture feels smooth.
  4. Fold in desired red gel color for customization.
  5. Transfer meringue mixture into a pastry bag fitted with a closed star tip and pipe heart shapes onto prepared sheets.
  6. Bake for 90-120 minutes until dry; cool completely before storing.
