  • 5 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 teaspoons LorAnn red velvet bakery emulsion

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, flour, sugar, and salt. Store in an airtight container.
  2. Heat 2 ½ cups of milk in a medium saucepan until steaming.
  3. In another bowl, mix remaining milk with basic pudding mix, cocoa powder, sugar, and eggs until smooth.
  4. Add the cocoa mixture to the hot milk and stir well; then add butter and red velvet flavoring.
  5. Cook over medium heat while stirring until thickened (about 8 minutes). Stir in vanilla extract before cooling completely.
