Ingredients
- 8 oz ziti pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz imitation crab meat
- 1/3 cup sweet onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup jalapeno pepper, chopped (jarred preferred)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup shredded colby jack cheese
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sherry
- 1 14.5 oz can of chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp old bay seasoning
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large sauté pan over medium-low heat, melt butter. Add onion, garlic, and jalapeno; sauté until tender.
- Sprinkle shrimp with old bay seasoning and add to the pan along with imitation crab meat, sherry, and chicken broth. Cook until shrimp are opaque.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together sour cream, flour, and white pepper until smooth. Stir into the seafood mixture; simmer until thickened.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the seafood mixture in the pan; transfer to a baking dish and top with shredded colby jack cheese.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes; then broil until cheese is bubbly and golden.
