Shrimp Orzo In Lemon Garlic Sauce is a quick and flavorful dish that brings together succulent shrimp, tender orzo pasta, and a zesty lemon garlic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook orzo according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque (about 2-3 minutes on each side). Remove shrimp from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, combine chicken broth, lemon juice and zest, and red pepper flakes; bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in cooked orzo and allow it to absorb flavors for about 2 minutes.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and stir until melted and well combined.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
