- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 oz bittersweet chocolate
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 large eggs

- 2 tbsp liquid red food coloring
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter and bittersweet chocolate together in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add the cooled chocolate mixture.
- In another bowl, sift flour and mix in salt and baking powder. Fold into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in red food coloring until evenly mixed.
- For the cream cheese swirl, beat together cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and confectioners’ sugar until smooth.
- Layer half of the brownie batter in the prepared pan, followed by half of the cream cheese mixture; repeat layers.
- Swirl both mixtures together gently with a knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs attached.
- Cool completely before cutting into squares.
