Ingredients

  • Refrigerated Pie Crust
  • Cherry Pie Filling
  • Egg
  • Milk
  • White Sparkling Sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out 16 hearts from the pie crust.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together one egg and one tablespoon of milk for the egg wash.
  4. Place half of the hearts on the baking sheet, brush the edges with egg wash, and add a small spoonful of cherry filling in the center of each.
  5. Top with remaining hearts, sealing edges well by pressing down or crimping with a fork.
  6. Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle with white sugar.
