- 60 g egg whites (room temperature)
- 65 g granulated sugar
- 75 g almond flour
- 55 g powdered sugar
- Fuschia color gel
- 1/4 recipe Simple Vanilla Buttercream
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat mat.
- In a food processor, combine almond flour and powdered sugar, processing until fine. Sift and set aside.
- Whip egg whites until foamy; gradually add granulated sugar and whip to stiff peaks.
- Gently fold in the dry mixture and fuschia gel until combined.
- Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a 2A tip and pipe heart shapes onto the prepared sheet.
- Tap the baking sheet firmly on the counter to release air bubbles, then let dry for about an hour.
- While drying, prepare your vanilla buttercream.
- Bake the macarons for 10-20 minutes, allowing them to cool completely before assembling with buttercream.
